On the 14th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul summoned reporter Lee as a suspect to investigate him on charges including trespassing and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.

Reporter Lee is the person who purchased and delivered the luxury bag and cosmetics that Pastor Choi Jae-young gave to First Lady Kim. It is also reported that he personally prepared the hidden camera that recorded the meeting between Pastor Choi and the First Lady.

Upon appearing at the police station, reporter Lee stated, "I bought the Dior bag and Chanel cosmetics with my own money. Now, I want them back." He added, "First Lady Kim should stop hiding behind her bodyguards and break her silence to clearly state her position. She should say that she is willing to accept punishment herself."

The police plan to investigate the circumstances under which reporter Lee purchased and gifted the luxury bag and other items, the process of reporting and coverage, and the communication between him and Pastor Choi. Pastor Choi, who was also reported along with reporter Lee, appeared at the Yeongdeungpo Police Station the previous day and was questioned for about seven hours.

Reporter Lee is the person who recorded and released a seven-hour phone conversation with First Lady Kim just before the presidential election. He also appeared at the prosecution on the 30th of last month and was investigated as a suspect on charges including defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
