Daewoo E&C announced on the 13th that Chairman Jung Won-joo visited Turkmenistan from the 9th to the 12th and consecutively met with key local clients to seek cooperation for advancing local business.

On the 11th, Chairman Jung attended the "Korea-Turkmenistan Business Forum" held in conjunction with President Yoon Suk-yeol's state visit to Turkmenistan. He met with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of oil and gas, the chairman of the state-owned gas corporation, the chairman of the state-owned oil corporation, and the chairman of the state-owned chemical corporation to discuss major business issues.

At the meeting, Chairman Jung said, "Daewoo E&C has a corporate spirit of growing and developing together with the overseas countries it enters," adding, "We are fully committed to preparing for the fertilizer plant currently under bidding, with the mission to produce Central Asia's first blue ammonia, and we ask for your great interest and cooperation."

Daewoo E&C has entered the bidding for two fertilizer plants in Turkmenistan. The fertilizer plants Daewoo E&C is bidding for are the "Kiyanly Urea-Ammonia Fertilizer Plant" located in Turkmenbashi City, Balkan Province, on the Caspian Sea coast, and the "Turkmenabat Fertilizer Plant" located in Turkmenabat, the second-largest city, 500 km east of the capital Ashgabat.

Daewoo E&C is also exploring participation in the second phase of the Alkadak New City project, a smart new city with a population of 64,000 located 30 km southwest of Ashgabat. Last November, the company opened a local branch office and is working hard to secure the project.
