Hyundai Rotem Secures Orders Worth 580 Billion KRW from the US and Egypt

Hyundai Rotem recently announced on the 7th that it has consecutively secured contracts to supply double-decker passenger cars and trams in the United States and Egypt.

First, on the 4th, Hyundai Rotem signed an additional supply contract for double-decker passenger cars with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in Boston, USA. The total contract amount is 241.4 billion KRW.

This is the third time Hyundai Rotem has supplied double-decker passenger cars to MBTA, following previous deliveries in 2008 and 2019.

Additionally, on the same day, Hyundai Rotem signed a contract with the Egyptian Tunnel Authority to supply trams for Alexandria. The total contract amount is 341.1 billion KRW.
