On the 6th (local time), foreign media including the AP reported that Mosley went for a walk along St. Nicholas Beach on Symi Island around 1:30 p.m. the previous day and has not been found since. His wife, Dr. Claire Bailey, filed a missing person report that morning. Greek authorities have launched a large-scale search operation involving police, firefighters, and volunteers, deploying police dogs and drones in areas difficult for people to access. Additionally, based on eyewitness accounts of seeing Mosley on a road after his disappearance, they are analyzing CCTV footage from the area to trace his whereabouts. Mosley’s mobile phone was found at the place where he was staying with his wife.

A fire official stated, "The area is sparsely populated and controlled, so if he were there, we would have found Mosley by now," adding, "There is also a possibility that he took another path or fell into the sea." The Greek island of Symi has been under a heatwave warning as daytime temperatures exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature on the 7th is forecasted to reach 48 degrees Celsius. Considering that Dr. Mosley might not have brought water, there is a possibility he fainted due to dehydration, and the rugged terrain is making the search operation difficult.

Dr. Mosley, a medical doctor, is well known as a host of BBC’s 'Trust Me, I’m a Doctor' and ITV’s 'The One Show' and 'This Morning.' He has received various awards, including an Emmy for the BBC science documentary 'The Human Face.' In 2012, he published the book 'The Fast Diet,' which sparked worldwide interest in intermittent fasting.
