On the 3rd, Yonhap News reported that The Pinkfong Company, which owns famous children's intellectual property (IP), achieved this milestone 10 years after uploading its first YouTube video in 2014. The cumulative watch time amounts to 680,000 years, which is more than twice the history of humanity and represents the vast amount of time it would take to play the videos continuously from the Ice Age to the present.

This is not the first record for The Pinkfong Company. The company's flagship content, the "Pinkfong Baby Shark Exercise" video, became the first single video in history to reach 10 billion views in January 2022. As of June 2024, this video, which ranks first in global YouTube views, has reached 14.5 billion views.

Additionally, the Pinkfong English channel became the first in the domestic content industry to surpass 50 million YouTube subscribers, earning the "Ruby Play Button." Four other channels of The Pinkfong Company each surpassed 10 million subscribers, simultaneously achieving four "Diamond Play Buttons." The company's total subscriber count has reached 200 million.

The Pinkfong Company explained that this 100 billion view milestone was achieved with content in 25 languages and over 7,000 videos across 244 regions worldwide. The top 10 YouTube channels by views include channels in various languages such as Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian. Notably, the Spanish channel grew by 300.0% and the Portuguese channel by 126.6% compared to the previous year, highlighting significant growth in the Latin American market beyond English-speaking regions.

Furthermore, The Pinkfong Company added that next-generation content such as "Bebepin" and "Seelook," in addition to the globally established "Pinkfong" and "Baby Shark," contributed to reaching the 100 billion views. The 3D observational animation "Seelook" has surpassed 7 million YouTube subscribers, and "Bebepin" became the first domestic animation to enter the Netflix Top 10 in 21 countries worldwide.

The Pinkfong Company explained, "Based on our strong YouTube power, the popularity of movies, animation series, music, performances, mobile apps, and products featuring our IP is also rising."

The Pinkfong Company stated, "Going forward, we plan to maximize our global IP competitiveness by focusing on content exports and offline business expansion through four overseas subsidiaries, including our Los Angeles office in the United States, and to launch multilingual channels for next-generation IP."
