On the 2nd, a reenactment event of the Joseon Tongsinsa procession was held in a downtown park in Tokyo, Japan.
On the morning of the 3rd, a Joseon Tongsinsa ship reenacted by the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage was sailing off the coast of Busan.

During the day, the reenactment event hosted by the Joseon Tongsinsa Yeonji (related area) Liaison Council took place around Ueno Park, with about 100 participants including elementary students from Tokyo Korean School and Daito-ku Shinobuoka Elementary School, as well as local merchants, walking approximately 1 km dressed in traditional costumes.
After the procession reenactment, performances such as Samulnori were held on the stage where the commemorative ceremony took place.
The council that hosted this event is an organization that jointly applied with the Busan Cultural Foundation in 2017 to register the Joseon Tongsinsa records as a UNESCO Memory of the World, and has been holding reenactment events since 1995 in areas where the Joseon Tongsinsa procession passed.
The reason for choosing Ueno Park in Daito-ku as the event location this time is because Higashi Honganji, the temple where the Joseon Tongsinsa stayed when visiting Tokyo, is located in Daito-ku.
The local branch of the Korean Residents Union in Japan (Mindan) and local merchants also sponsored this event, and food stalls selling Korean food were set up around the commemorative ceremony stage.
The Tokyo headquarters of Mindan stated, "The Joseon Tongsinsa visited Japan 12 times over more than 200 years starting from 1607, delivering our culture and fostering friendship between the two countries," adding, "We aim to inherit and develop the achievements of the Joseon Tongsinsa, which contributed to mutual understanding and peace promotion between the two countries."
