On the 29th and 30th, Mayor Park visited Estonia, a small but strong European economy that has grown through digital innovation. He toured government-led lifelong education facilities that actively utilize digital means for adult lifelong education, including the adult lifelong education school 'Tallinn Folk High School,' the vocational education institution 'Tallinna Teeninduskool,' and the 'Estonian Central Library,' which provides digital literacy education.
As part of the 'Asan-style Education Project,' Mayor Park, who has launched coding and software education programs for youth, showed great interest in Estonia's digital education programs for youth and the nationally led lifelong learning programs.
Mayor Park Kyung-gwi stated, “Estonia supports adult lifelong education through national systems alongside the digital transformation of the state, helping the elderly adapt to new technological environments. To sustain economic growth in a low birthrate and aging society, lifelong education, which currently focuses on hobby and leisure programs, must be expanded.”
