Residence for Active Seniors 'Wirye Simponia' Supply

HanmiGlobal D&I is set to supply a senior housing complex called ‘Wirye Simphonia’ in Jangji-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The complex consists of 115 units across four basement levels to a maximum of nine above-ground floors, with usable areas ranging from 43 to 57㎡, offering specialized floor plans designed for one- and two-person senior households.

Notably, ‘Wirye Simphonia’ is located at the center of Wirye New Town, where new town infrastructure is already established. It falls within the administrative boundaries of Songpa-gu, covering areas across Seoul’s Songpa-gu, Gyeonggi’s Hanam, and Seongnam regions, providing residents with the advantage of abundant living infrastructure in the Seoul metropolitan area.

‘Wirye Simphonia’ is a new-concept senior housing designed for so-called ‘healthy seniors’ with strong economic capacity and vitality. It aims to promote residents’ physical, psychological, and social health through its location and specialized design.

To enhance psychological health, various community facilities and program rooms will be operated. The lobby space will host exhibitions and events featuring paintings and sculptures, and residents’ art exhibitions and children’s drawing displays will also be held to foster psychological well-being.

Additionally, an indoor dining area overlooking a sunken garden has been designed, along with facilities such as a nurse’s office, healthcare room, program rooms, golf, sauna, fitness center, and multipurpose auditorium, providing a variety of community spaces that support both the physical health and psychological stability of residents.

The specialized design for healthy seniors is also noteworthy. The complex’s entrances and exits feature gently sloped stairs and ramps to allow easy outdoor access. It is adjacent to the 4.4 km-long Human Ring elevated walking path, a symbol of Wirye New Town, and close to Namhansanseong Fortress, enabling residents to live in close harmony with nature.

Within the complex, multiple gardens including a sunken garden, rooftop garden, and first-floor garden are arranged to provide comfortable and healthy resting spaces.

Based on its optimal location within Wirye New Town, ‘Wirye Simphonia’ is also expected to contribute to the regional integration of active seniors.

The Jangji-dong area where ‘Wirye Simphonia’ is located is surrounded by large apartment complexes, allowing emotional exchanges with residents of various age groups. The entrance plaza of the complex will host various events to naturally foster bonds between residents and the local community.

Specialized in-unit designs for resident safety are also notable. Emergency bells that can be called in urgent situations are installed, along with pocket doors and safety bars for security. An entrance chair is provided for convenience when putting on shoes, and the level difference between the entrance and the unit interior is minimized to prevent injuries.

Furthermore, some units feature a circular layout connecting the bathroom with the bedroom or living room, allowing convenient movement within the unit.
