Vehicle with 'Wangchobo' Sticker Charges onto Sidewalk

A vehicle driven by a woman in her 60s in Incheon crashed onto a sidewalk, injuring two pedestrians.


On the 10th, the Namdong Police Station in Incheon and Yonhap News reported that at around 2:43 p.m. the previous day, a vehicle driven by a woman in her 60s, identified as A, crashed onto the sidewalk at an intersection in Mansu-dong, Namdong-gu. As a result of the accident, a mother in her 40s and her teenage daughter who were on the sidewalk sustained injuries to their legs and head and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, it was reported that their lives are not in danger.

At the time of the accident, A’s vehicle was turning left when it mounted the curb and went onto the sidewalk. A sticker with the phrase "Wangchobo" (meaning "complete beginner") was attached to the rear window of A’s vehicle.


The police plan to investigate A on charges of injury under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling by analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage around the scene. A police official stated, "We will investigate the circumstances of the accident, including whether A was inexperienced in driving."
