A total of 4,118 vehicles from 5 models including the Hyundai Avante and 2,668 vehicles from 3 models including the Kia K3 are subject to recall starting from the 13th due to the confirmed possibility of the engine shutting off while driving, causing the vehicle to stop. The engine shutdown is caused by a defect in the power supply coating of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.

Two models including the The New Range Rover Sport P360, totaling 329 vehicles, will undergo recall starting the same day due to defective fastening of the rear right lighting fixture nuts. This defect may cause various lights such as tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals to fail to operate.

For 623 units of the Touareg 3 3.0 TDI, a safety standard non-compliance was identified due to a software error in the driver assistance mobile app, which fails to detect obstacles when using the reverse function during remote parking. Recall measures will begin on the 22nd. The reverse function refers to the feature that returns the vehicle to its original position before parking.

Meanwhile, whether your vehicle is subject to recall and detailed defect information can be checked by accessing the Automobile Recall Center website and entering the vehicle registration number and chassis number.

Regarding these defect corrections, each manufacturer must notify vehicle owners of the recall procedures via mail and mobile text messages. If a vehicle owner has repaired the defect at their own expense before the recall, they can apply for compensation for the repair costs from the manufacturer.
