Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held a commemorative event on the 26th at the 2nd floor domestic departure hall of Muan International Airport to celebrate Jeju Air's launch of the regular route between Muan and Jeju, together with Jeju Air and Korea Airports Corporation Muan branch.
According to the county on the 26th, Muan Airport had been operating a regular route between Muan and Jeju since 2021 by the small airline Hi Air, but this service was suspended from October last year, resulting in only irregular international flights without any domestic regular routes.

Governor Kim San and the Muan International Airport Revitalization Promotion Committee members who attended the event also conducted a campaign to promote the activation of Muan International Airport along with the distribution of specialties.
Jeju Air operates the Muan-Jeju route four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) starting from the 24th, and from the 8th of next month, Jin Air will operate the Muan-Jeju regular route twice a week (Thursday, Sunday), making two flights to Jeju Island.
Meanwhile, Jeju Air and Jin Air signed a business agreement in March at the Jeollanam-do Provincial Office with Jeollanam-do, Muan County, and Korea Airports Corporation to operate regular routes and revitalize the airport. Jeju Air has been operating regular flights to Zhangjiajie and Yanji in China and Saga in Japan since April, and Jin Air is scheduled to launch its first flight to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from the 8th of next month.
