This cleanup activity was carried out as part of proactive administration in cooperation with the local community, collecting trash such as styrofoam, plastic, and discarded fishing gear washed ashore by the waves to maintain a clean sea.

The Samho Bada Environment Guardians are composed of fishery workers from various types of fishing vessels, and through this activity, they not only strengthened harmony among fishery workers but also built a public-private cooperative system by enhancing the bond between fishery workers and substation staff.

A Mokpo Maritime Police official stated, “Following last year, the joint cleanup activities will continue monthly, and we will strive to maintain beautiful harbors and ports.”
