The KOSPI is rising on net purchases by foreigners, surpassing the 2650 mark.
As of 10:04 AM on the 26th, the KOSPI recorded 2651.33, up 22.71 points (0.86%) compared to the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners are net buyers with 158.9 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions are net sellers with 153.5 billion KRW and 10 billion KRW respectively.
By sector, insurance is up 2.81%, and medical precision is rising 1.25%. Machinery, electrical and electronics, distribution, and securities are also on an upward trend. Conversely, textiles and apparel, food and beverages, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and paper and wood are declining.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics traded at 77,100 KRW, up 800 KRW (1.05%) from the previous trading day. KB Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group rose 7.79% and 6.21% respectively, while SK Hynix and Samsung C&T also increased by 2.81% and 1.47%. On the other hand, Hyundai Motor and Kia fell more than 1%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 859.59, up 6.33 points (0.74%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals and institutions were net buyers with 19.9 billion KRW and 6.7 billion KRW respectively. Conversely, foreigners were net sellers with 15.6 billion KRW.
By sector, other services rose 2.77%. Semiconductors and computer services are also up more than 1%. Meanwhile, transportation equipment parts, publishing and broadcasting reproduction, food and tobacco, textiles and apparel, and metals are slightly down.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM traded at 231,000 KRW, down 3,000 KRW (1.28%) from the previous trading day. HPSP fell 2.48%, and EcoPro and Hugel declined more than 1%.
On the other hand, Alteogen rose 8.29%, and EO Technics and Samchundang Pharmaceutical are up 3.51% and 2.96% respectively. HLB and Lino Industrial are also rising more than 1%.
