Ministry of Environment and Kakao Join Hands: "Use Payro Carbon Neutrality Points"

On the 26th, the Ministry of Environment announced that it held a business agreement signing ceremony at Kakao Pangyo Ajit in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, to promote the spread of a carbon-neutral practice culture.


The Ministry of Environment and Kakao will promote a nationwide carbon-neutral lifestyle practice campaign using the Kakao platform. Kakao plans to conduct a campaign through KakaoTalk to inform the public about the necessity of practicing carbon neutrality.


Additionally, about 4,000 Kakao employees and resident stores will participate in the carbon-neutral point system, and convenience will be improved through linkage with Kakao Pay. They will also begin developing a national carbon-neutral practice program linked with Kakao T Bike to promote bicycle use.


Han Hwa-jin, Minister of Environment, emphasized, “We will enhance public convenience through cooperation between Kakao, an essential app for the public, and the carbon-neutral point system, an essential system for practicing carbon neutrality,” adding, “We will more effectively encourage and spread carbon-neutral practice activities among our citizens going forward.”
