Delivery application Baedal Minjok (Baemin) is conducting a donation campaign where anyone can become a gift delivery person in celebration of Children's Day.
On the 26th, Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced that they will promote a gift delivery donation campaign in collaboration with the international relief and development NGO Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry in commemoration of Children's Day.
This donation campaign was prepared to support Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry's "Big Smile Day" project through Baemin's gift certificate service, Baemin Gift. Big Smile Day is an event that guarantees children's right to play and development rights, helping protected children have a happy Children's Day.
Baemin and Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry will prepare a gift delivery truck to deliver gifts considering the children's ages and preferences. The gift delivery truck will visit six child care facilities for a week starting from the 6th of next month, reaching about 350 children. In addition, they plan to support Children's Day parties and learning materials for a total of 1,000 children at 37 institutions.
Baemin has opened a fundraising page within the app so that anyone can participate in the Big Smile Day donation and become a gift delivery person. Donations start from 5,000 KRW and participation is possible until the 5th of next month. All donors will receive a 1,000 KRW Baemin gift certificate.
The donation amount will be fully used to purchase stationery, learning materials, snacks, and other items to be gifted to the children. Along with this, Baemin plans to additionally donate 5,000 Baemin Stationery items.
Kim Ji-won, manager of the Baemin Gift team, said, "We have prepared a meaningful donation event for customers to participate in on Children's Day," and added, "We will continue to prepare social contribution activities that create social value through the Baemin Gift service."
