Samsung Electronics announced on the 26th that its offline stores, Samsung Store, plan to expand the number of stores participating in the 'Child Safety Keeper House' service to approximately 160 stores nationwide this year.
The 'Child Safety Keeper House' is a private-police joint security system in which the police and local communities work together to protect children. It temporarily shelters children in need and hands them over to the police, playing a role in ensuring children's safety.
Children who are threatened by strangers or animals or who have lost their way can receive help at Samsung Stores designated as Child Safety Keeper Houses.

Samsung Store has been participating in providing this service since 2015. Currently, it operates in a total of 50 stores in the regions of ▲Seoul ▲Gyeonggi ▲Gangwon ▲Gyeongnam ▲Gyeongbuk ▲Daegu ▲Jeonbuk ▲Gwangju. Additionally, more than 110 stores have applied or are under review to become Child Safety Keeper Houses, and a total of approximately 160 stores are expected to participate in the system operation within this year.
Official signage is attached outside Samsung Store locations designated as Child Safety Keeper Houses so that it is clearly visible to children in danger. Once a month, local police officers visit regularly to provide training to store employees on how to respond to various situations.
The police operate a fingerprint pre-registration system to quickly find missing children. Fingerprint pre-registration can be done through the 'Safety Dream' app or by visiting a nearby police station or precinct.
