Guro-gu (District Mayor Mun Heon-il) offers free "Violence Prevention Education for Residents" on-site.
The district provides education on preventing the four major types of violence (sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence) as well as digital sex crime prevention to establish proper adult awareness among all residents and foster a violence-free community atmosphere.
This education is a customized service where a professional instructor from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education visits the requested time and place of the applicant (organization) to conduct lectures, and it will be available until October this year.
Priority support is given to socially vulnerable groups such as senior centers and welfare facilities for the disabled, where violent incidents have recently occurred frequently, but other local organizations or institutions can also apply.
Applications can be submitted via email or official documents by receiving the application form from the Guro-gu Office staff during the operation period, and for more details, contact the Family and Childcare Division.
Mun Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, stated, "Violence has recently become a serious issue in our society," adding, "Through this 'Visiting Violence Prevention Education,' we will work to improve awareness of violence and make Guro-gu a safe and pleasant place to live."
