"Thank you all for your meaningful partnership in identifying reclusive individuals and households in crisis."

On the 24th at 9:30 a.m., Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan District, signed a business agreement with the Yongsan Branch of the Korea Association of Realtors at the 'Kkumnamu Theater' on the 5th floor of the Yongsan Dream Tree Complex Town for the "Network Building Project to Identify Reclusive Individuals and Households in Crisis with Licensed Realtors."

The purpose is to designate licensed realtors working on the front lines of the local community as "administrative welfare assistants" to establish a dense social safety net through public-private cooperation.

The signing ceremony was attended by over 120 licensed realtors including Kim Yoon-sook, President of the Korea Association of Realtors Yongsan Branch, and proceeded in the order of the mayor's greeting, presentation of branch commendations, branch president's remarks, and signing of the agreement.

The 883 licensed realtors in the area are responsible for notifying the district's Real Estate Information Division if they discover suspicious households during real estate consultations or site inspections.

Upon receiving information about the target households, the Real Estate Information Division connects them to six departments responsible for supporting single-person households and vulnerable groups in Yongsan District and Seoul City, as well as to the local community service centers of the residents' districts.

The district is currently implementing ▲ Safe lease contract assistance service for single-person households (Real Estate Information Division) ▲ Installation support for safety door guards for single-person households (Women and Family Division) ▲ Survey on socially isolated single-person households (Welfare Policy Division) ▲ Smart plug support (Welfare Policy Division) ▲ Psychiatric specialist counseling "Blue Mailbox" (Health Management Division). The city is promoting ▲ Support projects for isolated and reclusive youth (City Future Youth Planning Team) ▲ AI check-in service (City Social Isolation Household Support Center).

The district plans to conduct regular reports every even month to identify and manage target households and respond immediately to urgent situations through ad hoc reports.

Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan District, stated, "It is estimated that 4.5% of Seoul's youth population are reclusive individuals, and studies show that the first discoverers of solitary deaths are mostly siblings, landlords, and neighbors, in that order. I am reassured that licensed realtors, who strive to establish a sound real estate transaction order, are also joining forces to create a warm Yongsan where residents can live together."
