Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) held the "2024 2nd Busan Port Container Terminal Operators Presidents' Meeting" on the 23rd to share opinions on global shipping trends and BPA's key policy initiatives.
BPA particularly introduced the progress and future plans of the electronic delivery order and Vehicle Booking System (VBS), which are scheduled for full implementation starting in the second half of this year, and requested cooperation from the terminal operators.
They also listened to the initial issues and implementation plans regarding the introduction of the electronic delivery order and VBS from each operator and discussed measures to stabilize the systems early.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, "It is encouraging that the usage rate of the electronic delivery order, set for full implementation in the second half of the year, is already approaching 60%, thanks to the active cooperation and participation of the terminal operators." He added, "BPA will also strive for the smooth establishment of the new system through prompt civil complaint responses and information linkage."
