At 6:08 PM on the 22nd (Korean time), a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred 24 km south-southwest of Hualien County, Taiwan, according to the Meteorological Agency citing foreign observation agencies.
The epicenter is located at 23.76 degrees north latitude and 121.55 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 km.
