Boryeong City Commits to Successfully Hosting the 16th National Marine Sports Festival

Boryeong City in Chungnam held a commemorative ceremony on the 22nd at the fountain square of Daecheon Beach, 100 days before the 16th National Marine Sports Festival.

This event was organized to create an atmosphere for the National Marine Sports Festival and to ensure its successful hosting.

At the event, a flyboard commemorative performance captured the vivid scenes of the festival competitions.

Also, through placard performances such as △Marine Leisure Tourism Premium City OK Boryeong! △Touching Festival Together! Long Live Boryeong OK Boryeong!, the meaning of OK Boryeong and wishes for a successful event were expressed.

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, “At the point 100 days before the opening of the competition, we will thoroughly review all plans once again and prepare with our best efforts to successfully host the festival,” adding, “Through the 16th National Marine Sports Festival, Boryeong City will widely promote itself as the best marine leisure tourism hub city.”

Meanwhile, the 16th National Marine Sports Festival will be held for four days from July 31 to August 3 at Daecheon Beach and Boryeong Yacht Stadium, featuring four official events (yacht, canoe, finswimming, triathlon), three additional events (dragon boat, rubber boat, flyboard), and various marine and land experiences.
