Busan Office of Education Enhances Expertise of School Operation Committee Chairs

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) will conduct the '2024 School Operation Committee Chairperson Capacity Building Training' for about 630 school operation committee chairpersons in the Busan area at 2 p.m. on the 23rd in the main auditorium of the Busan Education Research and Information Center.

This training program aims to enhance the professionalism of the chairpersons by activating communication among educational communities in schools and increasing understanding of the school operation committees.

On the day of the training, the superintendent's commendations will be awarded to 38 individuals recognized for their outstanding operation of school operation committees last year, followed by a special lecture related to the school operation committees.

Park Seon-a, Administrative Officer at Haebit Elementary School, will give a lecture titled 'Understanding the School Operation Committee and the Role of the Chairperson.' Officer Park will provide detailed information on the responsibilities and authority of committee members, as well as their duty of integrity.

Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "This training will be very helpful in enhancing the decision-making and communication skills of school operation committee chairpersons," and added, "I ask for the interest and cooperation of the chairpersons in uniting the power of the educational community for the development of Busan education."

Following this training, the Busan Office of Education will also conduct school operation committee training sessions at each of the five education support offices.
