Medical AI company VUNO announced on the 22nd that it has supplied an AI-based X-ray reading assistance solution to Zayed Military Hospital, a UAE Armed Forces hospital.
The newly introduced solution is a package product equipped with VUNO's AI-based chest X-ray reading assistance solution, VUNO Med Chest X-ray, integrated into mobile X-ray equipment. By linking AI to mobile equipment that allows easy chest X-ray imaging of patients in various situations without separate shielding facilities, reading results can be confirmed within seconds.
This package product was developed as part of the "Military Medical Imaging Data-Based AI Reading System Advancement and Demonstration Project," promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). It is designed to enable on-site medical services mainly in remote areas, reducing diagnostic variability and significantly improving reading efficiency and accuracy even in regions with underdeveloped medical infrastructure.
VUNO is increasing its adoption achievements in the Middle East region by supplying products to five major military hospitals, including the Uzbekistan Central Military Hospital and the Military Medical School, in cooperation with government ministries since November last year. In addition, VUNO continues to strengthen overseas business for VUNO Med Chest X-ray. It is currently pursuing FDA approval within this year.
Lee Yeha, CEO of VUNO, said, “With the support of government ministries, we are steadily increasing the adoption of VUNO products in the Middle East region and contributing to the improvement of local military healthcare service quality. VUNO Med Chest X-ray has key momentum for strengthening overseas business, including obtaining FDA approval this year, and we will continue to strive to show consistent results.”
