Aston Martin has unveiled the new version of its sports utility vehicle (SUV), the 'DBX707'. It features a new interior layout and a self-developed infotainment system.
On the 22nd, Aston Martin announced the new DBX707, stating that production will begin in the second quarter of this year, with the first deliveries planned for the third quarter.
The new DBX707 has improved the digital features that were somewhat lacking when it was first released in 2022. It adopts a next-generation infotainment system developed in-house. This fully customizable integrated multi-screen system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It offers multiple USB-C connections and provides online support through the Aston Martin application (app).
The multi-screen features premium Pure Black touchscreen technology and fully capacitive single and multi-finger gesture controls. The driver's instrument cluster uses a 12.3-inch screen, which is 1.5 inches larger than those installed in the DB12 and Vantage. The central display is 10.25 inches and is integrated into the new dashboard and center console.
Physical buttons are applied to control key functions such as gear shifting, driving modes, heating, and ventilation. Physical switches are provided for suspension, electronic stability program (ESP), exhaust system, lane-keeping assist, and parking assist.
The new DBX707 interior is divided into three trims. The 'Inspire Comfort' features matrix embroidery and quilting, while the 'Inspire Sport' is characterized by vector embroidery. The 'Accelerate' trim uses Alcantara. Additional details are offered in the form of micro piping and satin embroidery. Aston Martin's bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, also provides extensive personalization options.
For the audio system, the Aston Martin Premium Audio 800W 14-speaker system is standard. An optional sound system co-developed by Bowers & Wilkins and Aston Martin is available. The aluminum double dome tweeters and Continuum midrange drivers deliver balanced and precise sound through a 1600W double amplifier surround sound system with 23 speakers.
New exterior colors have also been introduced. There are five colors in total: Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, Aura Green, and Podium Green, which is exclusive to the 'DBX707 AMR23 Edition'.
When the vehicle is unlocked, presenting door handles that protrude outward and flush glass swivel head side mirrors are equipped. While using a more sophisticated advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), the side mirrors are fitted with cameras for 3D parking camera functionality.
The DBX707 delivers a maximum output of 707 horsepower and a peak torque of 900 N·m. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with a 9-speed wet-clutch automatic transmission. Although it features an all-wheel-drive system, it can send 100% of the torque to the rear axle when needed, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed is 310 km/h. Carbon ceramic brake discs measuring 420 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear are applied, and 22-inch wheels come standard. Cast or forged 23-inch alloy wheels are available as options.
Marco Mattiacci, Global Brand and Commercial Chief Officer of Aston Martin, said, "The DBX707 sets a benchmark for ultra-luxury SUVs with best-in-class performance and dynamics, world-class design, and supreme luxury. The new DBX707 will once again set a new standard in the industry."
