Park Sang-chul, President of Honam University and leader of the Glocal Education Exchange Cooperation Group, visited Syrdarya Province, Uzbekistan on the 20th to attend the "Economic Policy and Syrdarya Economic Zone Enterprise Support Policy Business Forum."
At the forum, 최종석 (Choi Jong-seok), CEO of Fine Special Vehicles Co., Ltd., a LINC3.0 family company of Honam University, Son Wan-yi, Director of the International Exchange Office, Choi Young-hwa, Director of Admissions, and Jung Je-pyeong, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation and LINC3.0 Project Team, participated. There were presentations of technological products from three companies in Gwangsan-gu.
In particular, Fine Special Vehicles Co., Ltd., the last presenting company, is a family company engaged in various industry-academia collaborations such as company visits by President Park Sang-chul, technical guidance, and prototype development support. They introduced various special purpose vehicles including AI-based unmanned autonomous cleaning vehicles, fire trucks, ready-mix concrete trucks, and dump trucks, attracting special interest from the Governor of Uzbekistan.
After the business forum event, at the sister city agreement signing ceremony, Park Sang-chul, President of Honam University, received a plaque of appreciation from Syrdarya Governor Yakmaron Mahbudaev for his contributions to economic, cultural, and educational exchanges.
Currently, Honam University has 34 professors specializing in industry-academia cooperation who are striving for industry-academia collaboration to advance global corporate entry through various government-funded projects such as the LINC3.0 project, RIS project, and AI Convergence Talent Development project.
