The exhibition, titled "Natural Dyeing Painting, Between Figurative and Abstract," is organized by the Korean Natural Dyeing Pattern Dyeing Research Association (President Kim Yeon-ah) and features a total of eight artists: Kim Yeon-hwa, Park Joo-yeon, Bae Seok-in, Yoon Sook-hee, Lee Gap-young, Jeong Jeong-bok, Han Hwa-jung, and Heo Yoo-kyung.

The works utilize various materials, dyes, dyeing, and expression techniques, offering a glimpse into the infinite creativity and artistry of textile art where figurative and abstract coexist.

Among the exhibited works, Kim Yeon-hwa's "Jongil Bonga" (title) realistically depicts an old traditional house using pattern dyeing with persimmon tannin, while Park Joo-yeon's "Memory" is an abstract piece that emphasizes the horizon line by dyeing paper straws with indigo, attracting attention.

Han Hwa-jung's "Nevertheless" is a figurative painting work that uses indigo dye as a pigment like paint.

Im Kyung-ryeol, director of the Korean Natural Dyeing Museum, said, "This exhibition is an opportunity to appreciate works that focus more on artistry than the practicality of fabric dyeing," adding, "We hope many citizens will enjoy textile art through natural dyeing artworks."
