HD Hyundai Samho Leads Efforts to Eradicate Major Accidents in Collaboration with Local Safety Stakeholders

HD Hyundai Samho (CEO Shin Hyun-dae) is taking the lead in eradicating serious accidents at local workplaces by collaborating with the Mokpo branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and major regional shipbuilders.

According to Hyundai Samho on the 19th, on the 18th, the company held a 'Public-Private Joint Safety Campaign' at the main gate of DHMC in Daebul Industrial Complex, attended by CEO Shin Hyun-dae, Park Cheol-jun, head of the Mokpo branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, representatives of shipbuilding companies within the industrial complex, and other stakeholders.

Participants in the event handed out hand creams to workers on their way home with the slogan "Family love starts with following safety rules," emphasizing the importance of standard work procedures and safety practices for their families.

In particular, to prevent frequent safety accidents in the industrial complex, they promoted workers' safety awareness through placards and banners displaying messages such as △ wearing helmets while riding bicycles △ turning on headlights during sunset and nighttime operations △ and various other safety slogans.

Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Samho is also operating the 'Shipbuilding Industry Primary and Subcontractor Safety and Health Win-Win Forum' together with the Mokpo branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and companies in the Daebul Industrial Complex.

The win-win forum, which held its launch ceremony on the 3rd, was established with the purpose of preventing serious accidents in the shipbuilding industry through communication, sharing, and cooperation among various safety and health stakeholders within the industrial complex.

A representative of HD Hyundai Samho stated, "We are carrying out various activities to create an opportunity to eradicate safety accidents at local shipbuilding workplaces by spreading the safety and health capabilities of the parent company, which has a well-established management system, to various local partner companies."
