Japan 6.4 Earthquake ... 28 Reports of "Shaking" in Gyeongnam Including Yangsan and Gimhae

During the night, an earthquake that occurred in the strait between Kyushu and Shikoku in western Japan prompted numerous emergency calls across Gyeongnam.

According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters and Changwon Fire Headquarters on the 18th, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck 74 km east of Oita City, Oita Prefecture, at 11:14 PM on the 17th.

Within the province, a total of 28 false alarm reports were received: 13 in Yangsan, 10 in Gimhae, 2 in Tongyeong, 1 in Changwon, 1 in Geoje, and 1 in Miryang.

The reports were concentrated between 11:10 PM and 11:34 PM, but no damage caused by the earthquake was confirmed within the province.
