The university is teaching valuable manufacturing skills and helping students and local residents start their own businesses.


Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) announced on the 16th that it is offering a free extracurricular program called ‘Local Makers School,’ which invites excellent local creators from the Busan area to share startup know-how with students from May 2 to May 18.


Operated by the Dongmyung University Local Contents Focus University Project Group (Director Noh Seong-yeo), the Local Makers School runs a total of seven programs.


The project group encourages students to create products and content using local resources to find their own unique content. This program includes ▲Local Food (Daijeo Tomato Makgeolli production), ▲Local Goods (Busan Sea handmade soap and vegan local shampoo production), ▲Local Video (local filming practice, video editing, and reels production), ▲Local Character Design, and ▲Local Map Making classes, among others.


Director Noh Seong-yeo said, “I hope many students can reduce their vague worries about starting a business through various experiences with local creators and local startups.”


Dongmyung University students and local residents interested in local creators and local startups can apply through Dongmyung University t-up or the related website.
