The Digital Transformation Support Center at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) is recruiting trainees for the "2024 Small Business Digital Specialized University" program to strengthen the digital literacy capabilities of local small business owners.
According to Mokpo National University on the 16th, this program is sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. Eligibility is limited to small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs in Gwangju and Jeonnam, with a total of 120 participants being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, divided into two classes of 60 each.
The educational program includes various topics such as △creating detailed product pages △entry into domestic and international open markets and own malls △digital marketing △using Google Analytics.
The total 55-hour course will be conducted in two classes from June 26 to July 29, and graduates will receive various benefits including industry-specific mentoring and up to 500,000 KRW in sales practice support funds.
This year, an additional 40 small business owners from digitally vulnerable groups will be selected to receive 1:1 customized consulting. Through this, trainees will be helped to pioneer online sales channels and improve their data utilization skills.
Professor Lee Seok-in, head of the Digital Transformation Support Center at Mokpo National University, said, "Mokpo National University has been selected as the best university for two consecutive years," adding, "This year, we will strive not only to help small business owners pioneer online sales channels but also to enhance their data utilization capabilities."

This educational program is gaining attention as a meaningful project supporting local small business owners to become more proficient in the digital environment and prepare for the future. Trainees will also receive additional points when applying for the "Small Enterprise O2O Platform Advancement Support Project" or the "Small and Medium Business Distribution Center Online Sales Channel Support Project."
