Daejeon City announced the completion of the 'Daesa Neighborhood Park Access Road Expansion Project,' which connects the entrance of Daesa Neighborhood Park to major park facilities such as the Wooden Culture Experience Center.
The city invested 2 billion KRW to expand the approximately 360-meter road section from the entrance of Daesa Neighborhood Park to in front of Songhaksa Temple, increasing the road width from the existing 4 meters to 7-8 meters, and completely replaced old lighting, pedestrian decks, and railings.
This area had a narrow road width, making it difficult for vehicles to pass each other during peak travel seasons and causing inconvenience to citizens due to congested road use. This project was a long-standing local demand in response to those concerns.
The city completed administrative procedures such as planning and detailed design for the Daesa Neighborhood Park access road expansion and started construction in May last year, finishing the work in early April this year.
Park Dohyeon, Director of the Environment and Greenery Bureau of Daejeon City, said, “With the completion of the access road expansion, we expect increased use of Bomunsan Mountain.”
