'Musculoskeletal burden work' refers to 11 types of tasks announced by the Minister of Employment and Labor related to simple repetitive work or tasks that place excessive strain on the human body, and according to the Industrial Safety and Health Act, hazardous factors must be surveyed every three years.

This survey plans to expand the target to all employees, unlike the hazardous factor survey conducted in 2021 targeting field workers.

Accordingly, Dong-gu is currently conducting a preliminary survey by selecting samples from 31 workplaces within 17 departments. Once the preliminary survey is completed, a detailed inspection of the work environment and conditions will be conducted by directly visiting all workplaces, filming videos for workplace situation investigation, and conducting mobile surveys simultaneously.

Im Taek, the head of Dong-gu Office, said, "This survey was prepared to analyze hazardous factors in tasks that may burden the musculoskeletal system and to improve the work environment to enhance not only employee health but also work efficiency." He added, "Through thorough and periodic inspections and improvements, we will prevent occupational diseases caused by musculoskeletal disorders."
