Park Chun-geun, chairman of Suwon Wills Memorial Hospital, was inaugurated as the 2nd chairman of the Suwon Scholarship Foundation on the 11th.
Chairman Park Chun-geun earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Catholic University and currently serves as chairman and medical director of Wills Memorial Hospital, as well as an adjunct professor at Catholic University St. Vincent's Hospital. He has also held positions such as the 6th president of the Korean Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Society (KOMISS), president of the Seoul-Gyeongin branch of the Korean Neurosurgical Society, co-chair of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS) Cadaver Lab, and president of the Gyeonggi International Medical Association.

원본보기 아이콘In his inaugural speech, Chairman Park stated, "I will do my best to help the Suwon Scholarship Foundation become a leading foundation in Suwon's educational community," adding, "We will revitalize the educational community and faithfully operate demand-centered educational support services."
He continued, "With the goal of 'nurturing talents who will lead Suwon's development,' we will go beyond financial support to create the soil and foundation for their growth," promising his commitment.
Lee Jae-jun, mayor of Suwon and honorary chairman of the Suwon Scholarship Foundation, said, "Chairman Park Chun-geun, who has been connected with Suwon since 2004, has devoted many years to serving the local community with medical expertise," and urged, "Please help grow the Suwon Scholarship Foundation even larger and support our youth and young adults."
Established in April 2006, the Suwon Scholarship Foundation discovers and nurtures talents through scholarship support projects. To date, it has awarded scholarships totaling 9.916 billion KRW to 12,528 recipients.
