In Ulsan, starting this year, expenses for maintaining 'private gardens' will also receive support from the city budget. The first seven gardens to receive support this year have been selected.
On the 12th, Ulsan City announced that it will provide garden plants and maintenance tools to private gardens registered with the city, enabling them to be uniquely and beautifully maintained according to their garden conditions.
The city has allocated a budget of 20 million won for the first time this year and plans to provide support in two phases, the first and second half of the year.
In the first half of this year, support will be given for the cultivation of flowering plants such as enamel hydrangea, Limelight hydrangea, Maelcha tree, Margaret, and Fuchsia, which bloom between spring and summer, as well as shrub plants like Weeping Hongdo flower, Misanddal, and rosemary.
Additionally, the city will purchase and distribute maintenance tools necessary for gardening, such as pruning shears, watering equipment, and earthen pots.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "Through this support for private garden plants and maintenance tools, we hope to revitalize private gardens and use this opportunity to help discover and expand private gardens," and also revealed plans to increase the budget.
