Gyeonggi-do to Operate 360-Degree Disability Care Week from 15th to 20th

Gyeonggi Province will operate the ‘360-Degree Disability Care Week’ from the 15th to the 20th of this month in celebration of the 44th Disabled Persons Day.


This Disability Care Week was planned to raise awareness of the importance of the 8th term’s disability policy direction and to encourage residents’ interest and participation in disability policies.


The main events include ▲the proclamation of the 5-year disability policy plan ▲celebration of the opening of the 360-Degree Anywhere Care ‘Night and Holiday Program’ and the achievements of past disability opportunity income ▲the 360-Degree Anywhere Care ‘Again Spring Talk: Warming Anywhere’ ▲the 44th Gyeonggi Province Disabled Persons Day ceremony ▲and an invited viewing of a disability-themed play featuring outstanding cases of disability opportunity income.

Additionally, from the 15th to the 19th, performances by disabled artists lasting about 30 minutes during lunch and after work hours will be held in the lobby on the first floor of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building, along with an exhibition of 20 selected works from the 2024 Nurim Art&Work program.


Heo Seung-beom, Director of Welfare for Gyeonggi Province, stated, "I hope this 360-Degree Disability Care Week will be an opportunity for disabled and non-disabled people to communicate more closely and understand each other," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Gyeonggi Province a place where people with disabilities can enjoy more, fairer, and better opportunities and live the lives they want."
