Changwon Seongsan Elected Candidate Heo Seong-moo: "We Will Make It the World's No.1 Digital Manufacturing City and the Top Political Hub"

"I will set the Republic of Korea straight and make Changwon the world's number one digital manufacturing city."


On the 10th, in the 22nd general election, Heo Seong-mu, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate elected as the National Assembly member for Changwon Seongsan constituency in Gyeongnam, expressed his victory remarks.


In his statement on the 11th, Candidate Heo said, "The anger of the people has converged into a judgment on the regime," and added, "This is a great victory created by the people and the citizens of Changwon who are concerned about the future of Korea and Changwon."

He continued, "I will run tirelessly with the citizens of Changwon and Seongsan District to make Changwon Seongsan not only the political number one district in Gyeongnam but also the number one political district in Korea," and promised, "The dream of blue sneakers running on foot is the dream of the citizens of Seongsan and Changwon, and I will do my best to realize that dream."


He said, "I will do my best to resolve the local issues and agendas of Changwon in the National Assembly and will always discuss them with the citizens of Seongsan," adding, "I ask for encouragement and constructive criticism."


Earlier, Candidate Heo won the 22nd Changwon Seongsan National Assembly seat by defeating Kang Ki-yoon of the People Power Party, who received 45.70% of the votes, and Yeo Young-guk of the Green Justice Party, who received 7.91%, with a vote share of 46.38% in this general election.


Candidate Kang engaged in a fierce battle with Candidate Heo, repeatedly overturning the results past 2 a.m. the day after the election, but remained in second place with a margin of 982 votes.
