Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will hold a "Electric Vehicle and Eco-driving Carbon Neutrality Special Lecture" to practice carbon neutrality in daily life from 1:30 PM on the 18th.

This special lecture is organized to raise awareness of carbon neutrality among residents, and is conducted through a combination of theory and practice with the cooperation of the Korea Automobile Environmental Association, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and Hyundai Motor Company, all specialized institutions in automobile carbon neutrality.

The training, held at the district office's in-house academy and plaza, is divided into three parts. Part 1, "Spreading Eco-friendly Driving Culture Education," covers the necessity of eco-friendly driving and how to use apps that help make eco-driving a daily habit. Part 2, "Electric Vehicle Usage and Management Education," invites a maintenance technician graduated from Seoul National University of Science and Technology's Automotive Engineering to teach the operating principles and management methods of electric vehicles.

Part 3, "Virtual Driving Experience Education," uses virtual driving simulation equipment to teach "eco-friendly economical driving" techniques that reduce gas emissions with optimal fuel efficiency.

Any resident interested in electric vehicles and eco-driving can apply, and those wishing to participate can register on the Dongdaemun-gu website (Resident Participation → Online Registration).

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "I hope this training will be an opportunity to practice 'eco-friendly driving' that saves energy and achieves carbon neutrality," and added, "We will continue to do our best to discover practical carbon neutrality measures in daily life that residents can feel."
