Lee Jun-seok's 2-Day No-Sleep Campaign... Cheon Ha-ram Says "Losing Election Worse Than Dying"

Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party and candidate for Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, announced that he will conduct a 48-hour non-stop campaign starting from the 8th.

On the same day, Lee wrote on his Instagram, "I will do a 48-hour non-stop campaign starting at midnight today," adding, "I will go out riding a bicycle."

Regarding the reason for the non-stop campaign, Cheon Ha-ram, the Reform New Party's general election campaign committee chairman, said on BBS Radio that day, "When I asked Lee, 'Aren't you going to die?' he replied, 'I hate losing more than dying.'" Cheon added, "I hope the name Lee Jun-seok is definitely included among the winners."

Lee's parents also participated in the election campaign to appeal for support. Lee's mother, Kim Hyang-ja, said at the campaign site the day before, "On the day the party leader steps down, when I saw my son after a long time, I just wanted to hug him tightly and say, 'Jun-seok, it must be hard,'" adding, "I thought if I told my son, who is enduring hardship, that it would be difficult, he might collapse, so I turned away, cooked, and left the house." Kim said, "Then I cried alone for about three hours in the apartment parking lot."

Currently, in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, Lee is competing in a three-way race with Han Jeong-min of the People Power Party and Gong Young-woon of the Democratic Party of Korea.
