"Starting today, Yongsan Children's Garden will be open until 9 PM, so please take your time and enjoy your visit."

The Blue House announced that President Yoon Suk-yeol made a surprise visit to Yongsan Children's Garden on the afternoon of the 6th, meeting families and children out for spring outings.

President Yoon toured the Fountain Garden and the baseball field in sequence. To families and children requesting photos, he asked, "What grade are you in?", said, "Let's take a photo with grandpa," and "Please visit often," taking pictures with each of them.

Then, at the outdoor caf? in the Fountain Garden, he looked at the drawings of children participating in the 'Decorate Your Own Eco Bag' activity and encouraged them by saying, "You drew very well," and "Your skills are exceptional."

Afterward, President Yoon moved to the baseball field next to the Fountain Garden to watch a practice game of an elementary school baseball team. When a fielder caught a well-hit ball by the batter, he applauded and cheered, "Nice catch."

Meeting parents watching the game together, President Yoon said, "There is no better sport than baseball for developing leadership. Baseball is really a great sport, so encourage your children to play hard." The parents responded, "We are using the Yongsan Children's Garden baseball field very well, thank you for opening it." President Yoon also told the children, "The baseball field belongs to you all. Please come often."

Since the opening of Yongsan Children's Garden in May last year, President Yoon has frequently visited this place to communicate with citizens.

At the Arbor Day event held in Busan the previous afternoon, President Yoon promised to establish a 'Children's Forest Experience Center' representing the Republic of Korea within Yongsan Children's Garden by the end of this year, so that future generations can enjoy the energy of the forest in the city and emotionally connect with nature through various activities.
