With "Moon Jae-in's 'reckless' actions... Hopefully he will exercise restraint"

"Is Cho Kuk 'Repaying a Debt of the Heart' in Progress?"

The People Power Party sharply criticized former President Moon Jae-in's actions related to the April 10 general election, calling them "reckless behavior."

On the 6th, Park Jeong-ha, the spokesperson for the People Power Party's election committee, stated in a commentary, "Although it was well known that former President Moon's words about wanting to be 'forgotten' were nothing but empty talk, his recent actions are surprisingly bold."

He pointed out, "Just a week before the election, he suddenly appeared on the campaign scene, stirring conflict with language criticizing the current government and ruling party, and eventually even showed up at a concert held on Yeongjongdo." He added, "It is known that this event involved production participation by Kim Eo-jun, Tak Hyun-min, and Moon Jun-yong, his son."

Park argued, "For a former president to attend a public performance organized by figures from a specific camp less than a week before the general election is controversial in itself and is an action that does not meet the public's expectations."

He criticized, "Former President Moon is the person responsible for regressing the country with numerous failed policies that are too many to list, and for neglecting national tasks such as labor and medical reforms." He continued, "Forgetting the responsibility for government failure and national division and acting recklessly only reminds the public of the previous administration's mistakes," emphasizing, "I hope he exercises restraint. That is the minimum way to be respected as a senior statesman."

Lee So-hee, spokesperson for the People Power Party's satellite party for proportional representation, People’s Future, also issued a statement targeting former President Moon, asking, "Is the immoral 'repayment of emotional debt' to Representative Cho Kuk still ongoing?" This was a criticism of Moon's remarks made the previous day in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, where he cast an early vote and said, "It is important for the Cho Kuk Innovation Party to grow into a more popular party."

Lee condemned, "The public's feelings are devastated as they witness the immoral 'repayment of emotional debt' between former Minister Cho, who betrayed young people with admission scandals, and former President Moon, who caused the frustration of skyrocketing housing prices due to flawed real estate policies during his five-year tenure."
