CJ ENM announced on the 5th that the CEO has changed from the co-CEO system of Yoon Sang-hyun and Koo Chang-geun to Yoon Sang-hyun as the sole CEO.
CJ explained, "We understand that CEO Koo recently expressed a desire to take a break and requested to resign first," adding, "Accordingly, the company granted him a sabbatical."
CEO Koo, a former Samsung Securities analyst, was known as a restructuring expert within the group. He served as head of the Group Management Strategy Office 1, was in charge of M&A, and held CEO positions at CJ Foodville and CJ Olive Young. He had been serving as CEO of CJ ENM since October 2022.
