Police Climbing Coastal Retaining Wall Rope, What Was the Outcome of the Money Bag 'Rescue Operation'?

A woman in her 50s, a foreigner walking along the coastal promenade, became a topic of conversation after the police found a cash bag she accidentally dropped into the sea.

Just before the bag was swept away by the waves, the police completed a mission to retrieve the bag, reminiscent of a tactical operation.

According to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency on the 5th, at around 2:45 p.m. on March 29, Ms. A, passing by the coastal promenade in Suyeong-gu, Busan, dropped a bag containing cash down the seawall more than 5 meters below.

Ms. A immediately called 112 and anxiously watched the waves crashing as she fretted.

The officers from the Nambu Police Station who responded used a rope from the patrol car to carry out the bag retrieval "operation." One officer held the rope using the promenade fence as support, while another climbed down the seawall and successfully retrieved the bag.

Ms. A did not disclose the amount of cash in the bag but repeatedly expressed her gratitude after recovering the money and belongings that had almost been lost to the seawater.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency plans to upload this "cash bag rescue operation" on Instagram.
