The two co-CEOs emphasized that strengthening the fundamental competitiveness of each business area, including music, story, and media, will be their top priority. They will also continue efforts to discover future growth engines such as artificial intelligence (AI). Their goal is to solidify the domestic business foundation and pursue meaningful global growth.
To this end, organizational restructuring will be implemented. The music business will establish a new music IP division led by CEO Jang Yoon-joong. They plan to expand IP into various areas, including planning and production of music and artist IP. A new organization dedicated to data-driven advancement and business diversification will also be established to strengthen global competitiveness in the music business. The media business will reorganize the existing video business division, which is responsible for drama and film production and management, into a CIC to reinforce the studio structure. Additionally, an organization will be set up to support increased management efficiency and business capabilities of major subsidiaries.
Kakao Entertainment will regularize company-wide town hall meetings and operate open communication channels continuously to expand internal communication. Offices dispersed across various regions will be reorganized around Pangyo to improve decision-making efficiency. Corporate culture and work processes will also be revamped to actively support employee growth through activation of internal transfer systems and education programs, as well as enhanced year-end and ongoing rewards.
The newly restarting Kakao Entertainment presented "Content beyond Content" as its vision slogan. This reflects their commitment to spreading unprecedented enjoyable experiences through bold and free experimentation and challenges.
Co-CEOs Kwon Ki-soo and Jang Yoon-joong stated, "The changes at Kakao Entertainment are just beginning. We will continuously evolve and innovate to meet social expectations and standards, playing a leading role in the overall growth of the K-entertainment industry."
