Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon cast his vote around 8:30 a.m. on the first day of early voting for the 22nd general election on the 5th, visiting the polling station set up at Seohyeon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Bundang-gu, Seongnam City, together with his wife, Jung Woo-young.
Seohyeon 1-dong is located in the Seongnam Bundang-gap electoral district, where Lee Kwang-jae of the same Democratic Party is engaged in a close race against Ahn Cheol-soo of the People Power Party.
Along with Governor Kim Dong-yeon, Kim Boo-kyum, co-chairman of the Democratic Party's joint election countermeasures committee, also cast his early vote at the Seohyeon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

원본보기 아이콘Governor Kim Dong-yeon had originally planned to vote at the Gwanggyo 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon City, his registered address, but announced the day before that he would move his voting location to the Seohyeon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
After voting, Governor Kim told reporters, "On my way to Gachon University's Arbor Day event, I came to Seongnam to vote. Coincidentally, former Prime Minister Kim was also coming this way, so I voted together to see him as well." He added, "Our solution lies in voting. Let us create a pleasant rebellion that changes our future through voting."
