'Polarescue, Super Guardians' Production Presentation

S-OIL is producing a broadcast animation titled 'Polar Rescue, Super Guardians' aimed at children and families worldwide.


On the 4th, S-OIL held a production presentation for 'Polar Rescue, Super Guardians' at CGV Yongsan. About 120 people attended the event, including An Jong-beom, President of S-OIL Marketing, and Lee Sang-seok, CEO of ACOMS.

Polar Rescue features six team members with unique personalities and abilities who rescue animals in danger against the backdrop of the Arctic. It is an adventure, action, and educational drama focusing on the environment and ecology. The series raises expectations with its timely and solid storyline, top-level 3D quality, transformable rescue ships that stimulate desire, and an original soundtrack of over 100 songs, including about 30 performed by a full orchestra.


This global project is a joint effort by S-OIL, Korea's leading character and content specialist company ACOMS, and the world-renowned production studio Mikros Animation. Starting this November, it will be broadcast sequentially through overseas channels including North America, South America, Europe, China, as well as domestically in Korea.


S-OIL's character 'Gudoil' has played a key role in marketing activities and consumer communication touchpoints since 2012. In 2019, the 'Gudoil Family Animation' received a positive response on YouTube, confirming the potential and possibilities of the character IP (intellectual property).


An S-OIL official stated, "If the character Gudoil presented a new direction for corporate marketing, we hope the Polar Rescue animation will open a new horizon for K-content business that is loved and well-sold worldwide."
