Daejeon City is recruiting participants for the accommodation-type camping program “2024 Kkuljaem Daejeon Healing Camp,” which connects major camping sites and tourist attractions within the city, from the 8th to the 10th.

The first session of the Kkuljaem Daejeon Healing Camp will be held from the 27th to the 28th for one night and two days at the Sangso-dong Auto Camping Site, targeting 40 families.

The program includes a tourist stamp tour visiting major tourist spots in Daejeon, a traditional market experience, and a traditional market shopping program aimed at revitalizing the local economy.

Additionally, there will be a camping cooking contest where participants can showcase their culinary skills and a family talent show to display their talents within the camping site.

Families wishing to participate can apply through the city’s website banner or QR code by the 10th, with a participation fee of 50,000 KRW per team. Any family owning a vehicle, tent, and camping equipment can apply, with priority given to families with multiple children and Daejeon hometown love donors.

The “Kkuljaem Daejeon Healing Camp,” which was first held last year and received great response, is scheduled to be held four times this year, starting with the first session in April, followed by sessions in June, September, and October.

Park Seung-won, Director of the Tourism Promotion Division of Daejeon City, said, “This healing camp will be a time to build memories of communication and healing among families and to fully enjoy the charm of Daejeon,” adding, “We hope for the interest and participation of many Daejeon citizens and visitors.”
