The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is expanding exchanges related to the bioindustry with the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA).
On the 5th, Suwon City announced that Mayor Lee Jae-jun held a meeting on the 4th at his office in City Hall with Oh Tae-hwan, the next president of KSEA (Professor of Computing and Information Science at Rochester Institute of Technology), to discuss cooperation plans and other matters.
At the meeting, Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "Suwon is advancing as a city centered on cutting-edge scientific research," and added, "I hope KSEA will cooperate in the mid to long term in the process of shaping Suwon's future."

원본보기 아이콘Earlier, on January 8, Mayor Lee signed a 'Korea-US Scientific and Technological Scientists Mutual Exchange Cooperation Agreement' with KSEA SVC (KSEA Silicon Valley Chapter) at Stanford University in the United States and explained the Suwon Gwanggyo Bio Innovation Valley development project.
Suwon City and KSEA SVC plan to cooperate in areas such as ▲supporting activities to attract advanced industry companies and investments including the development of Suwon Gwanggyo Bio Innovation Valley ▲supporting activities to revitalize the association such as conferences and seminars organized by KSEA SVC ▲promoting exchanges in science and technology (bio, semiconductors, AI, etc.) between Korea and the United States.
KSEA consists of 92 chapters and 31 scientific and technological professional organizations, with about 7,000 Korean-American researchers active in the fields of science, medicine, and engineering.
