Seongnam City Offers Up to 2 Million KRW Support for Demolishing Walls and Building Parking Lots

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 2 million won in support for demolishing house fences and creating parking spaces.

On the 5th, Seongnam City announced that it will carry out the 'Home Parking Lot Creation Support Project' as one of the measures to alleviate parking difficulties in densely populated residential areas of Sujeong and Jungwon districts.

Under this project, owners of single-family and multi-family houses who demolish their house fences and gates to create parking spaces will receive up to 2 million won, covering up to 90% of the construction costs. If the gate is demolished and a parking lot is created, 1.7 million won will be provided, and if the fence is demolished and a parking lot is created, 1.5 million won will be given.

If additional parking spaces are created by increasing the number of parking spots, up to 500,000 won will be paid per additional space.

To participate in the project, applicants must submit a simplified drawing showing the secured parking area and construction section, along with an estimate, to the relevant district office.

Parking lots created under the project must be maintained for at least five years, and if fences are rebuilt or the space is converted to other uses, the full construction cost will be reclaimed.

Through the 'Home Parking Lot Creation Support Project,' Seongnam City has created 13 parking spaces at 10 houses over the past five years (7 spaces in 6 locations in Sujeong, and 6 spaces in 4 locations in Jungwon).
