On the 5th, Kiwoom Securities introduced that Tomato System is preparing to enter the US medical artificial intelligence (AI) management system market.
Kim Hak-jun, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, explained, "The reason Tomato System's telemedicine secured a contract with a US insurance company ultimately lies in the blossoming of RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring). It began in 2022 when CMS issued CPT codes for RPM."
He continued, "As a policy to reduce hospitalization and medical costs through vital monitoring, payments are made based on the number and duration of data uploads by patients within one month," adding, "The Medicare Advantage private insurers that Tomato System first entered are actively competing to acquire new subscribers."
He analyzed, "We expect an increase in contracts for RPM + telemedicine systems," estimating that "the contract proceeds at a monthly subscription fee of $6.9 per subscriber." Furthermore, "if the number of subscribers reaches one million, annual subscription revenue will exceed 100 billion KRW," and "if contracts continue with insurers holding many subscribers, performance contributions will be possible by the second half of the year."
Researcher Kim explained, "Since the project is being conducted together with a subsidiary of a local US insurance company, rapid penetration is expected," and described the service in preparation as one that, with individual consent, analyzes the patient's ▲diagnosis and hospitalization records ▲prescription drugs ▲vital data ▲blood and urine data to show the likelihood of disease occurrence."
He emphasized, "Tomato System's service is similar to the one being prepared domestically with D&Life," and added, "It will not take a long time to develop."
