From 1st and 2nd generation legend idols god to 5th generation boy groups, 2024 BOF lineup revealed
Busan City has unveiled the full lineup for the 'BOF Big Concert' of the 2024 Busan One Asia Festival (Busan One Asia Festival).
The main performers include god, Super Junior-D&E, ZEROBASEONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and n.SSign.
Now in its 8th year, BOF is a premier Asian concert combining Busan's diverse K-Culture and K-POP content, hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan Tourism Organization.
Previously held every October, the festival's schedule has been moved to June starting this year. This change was made in response to continuous requests from Busan's tourism industry, which highlighted difficulties for BOF attendees in booking flights and accommodations due to the concentration of major festivals in the second half of the year, and to secure a distinctive timing for the event.
The '2024 BOF' will take place over two days, June 8 and 9. On the 8th, the 'BOF Big Concert' featuring K-POP artists with global fanbases will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium, and on the 9th, a 'Park Concert' for Busan citizens will be held at Hwamyung Ecological Park.
The '2024 BOF Big Concert' will bring together leading K-POP figures driving the Korean Wave, including god, Super Junior-D&E, ZEROBASEONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and n.SSign.
From legendary groups that laid the foundation of K-POP to idols who have become the trendsetters leading its future, the concert promises an all-star 'Big lineup' worthy of its name, uniting fans from home and abroad with an unprecedented stage.
The first act is the legendary first-generation idol group god in full formation.
Debuting spectacularly with "To Mother," god has delivered numerous hits such as "I Love You and I Remember," "Lie," and "One Candle," continuing their activities as a national idol group to this day.
The warm lyrics and emotional vocals about love, family, and friendship that provided comfort and courage from this first-generation idol group's music and stage performances will offer a chance for new generations of fans to discover first-generation idol music, making the BOF Big Concert a festival that all generations can enjoy together.
The second act is the second-generation boy group that dominated the global iTunes charts, Super Junior-D&E (Donghae & Eunhyuk).
Breaking a 2-year and 4-month hiatus, Super Junior-D&E (Donghae & Eunhyuk) will deliver irresistible charm to Busan with their cleverly crafted unique music.
Their latest album has also achieved remarkable success on global charts in 11 regions worldwide, proving their powerful music presence. With more mature music and captivating performances, they aim to capture the hearts of global fans.
The third act is the 5th generation icon ZEROBASEONE.
Returning to BOF this year following last year, ZEROBASEONE has garnered overwhelming global fan support even before debut. Their albums released in July and November last year both achieved double million-seller status consecutively.
Their comeback scheduled for May will be showcased on the concert stage.
The fourth act is BOYNEXTDOOR, a key player in the 5th generation boy group wave.
Produced by singer and producer Zico, they captivate fans with a friendly and free-spirited charm reminiscent of "the boys next door."
With lyrics and music that resonate well with the younger generation, they are leading the 5th generation boy group craze in the music industry, and anticipation is high for their performance at this concert.
The fifth act is the hottest rookie of the new K-POP 5th generation, NOWADAYS.
Known for solid skills, polished visuals, and a refreshing yet distinctive vocal tone, they have been the center of attention even before debut, heralding a monster rookie of the 5th generation.
They will bring strong addictive tracks including the charming and cheerful title song "OoWee" to the 2024 BOF.
Following them are n.SSign, LUN8, H1-KEY, and Billlie.
n.SSign, known as the "happy idols," made a successful comeback with their February release "Happy ＆(Happy End)," which recorded over 230,000 initial sales. LUN8, a 5th generation visual group, demonstrated their global rookie power by ranking high on album charts worldwide including Indonesia, T?rkiye, and Japan with their mini-album "BUFF." H1-KEY, rising as a reverse-hit icon with "A Rose Bloomed Between the Buildings," and Billlie, who have established themselves as a trend with unique music based on solid storytelling, will also engage with the audience as 4th generation girl groups.
Sim Jae-min, Director of the Culture and Sports Bureau of Busan City, stated, "The 'BOF Big Concert' held in June will be a festival where legendary 1st and 2nd generation idols and trending idol groups come together, allowing domestic and international tourists and citizens visiting Busan to enjoy together." He added, "With the event being held in June for the first time this year, we plan to offer an even more special musical experience and memories, so we ask for your great interest and participation."
Official concert ticket reservations will be available through YES24, with the first round of sales starting on April 19.
